Check out recent bird sightings from around the Arboretum gardens. If you're a skilled birder and know your Sonoran Desert birds and Springtime migrants, would you help census them during the annual North American Migrant Count May 8?

Side-blotched, Tree and Greater Earless lizards are scampering across the trails -- and Gila Monsters have been seen this month, too.
Our popular "Learn Your Lizards" guided walk series continue with Ed Tunstall on May 8, then Casa Grande ecologist Wild Man Phil guides the tours on May 29, June 12, July 10 and August 14 (with Ed Tunstall on both dates, too); with Abi King from the Arizona Game & Fish Department August 29 and again September 5; the season ends with Wild Man Phil leading the September 11 tour.
05/09/10 - 9:00am
Is your mom, or wife, a history buff? Check this out for a unique Mothers' Day date suggestion: plan a picnic at the Arboretum and invite her to attend Sylvia Lee's enthralling history walking tour at 9:00 a.m. (Sylvia's tour repeats May 22 if you can't visit Sunday or have other plans for Mothers' Day).
