Boyce Thompson Arboretum welcomes volunteers!

Birds

Would you enjoy getting your hands dirty in the garden while learning about desert plants from Arboretum horticulturists and groundskeepers? Or do you prefer keeping them keyboard-clean to work in an office environment? Arizonans who have time, skills and positive energy to share are welcome to join our volunteer program!

You don't have to be a botanical expert to volunteer at the arboretum, although, of course, Master Gardeners and horticulturists are always welcome! Whether your skills are botanical, clerical, or social please pay a visit or call the Arboretum to learn more about the wide range of volunteer positions we have available. Arboretum assistants help weed the gardens, grow and propagate greenhouse plants, lead bird walks and botanical tours and even help staff the business office and gift shop. Volunteers assist with special events such as the Spring and Fall plant sales, Australia Day, the Herb Festival and our Welcome Back Buzzards event.

The first step towards joining our volunteer cadre is to complete an application -- to obtain one please fill out the form below, and include your mailing address and phone.
